Flint Hills Fanfare (Physical Copy)- Printed by Black Ribbon

Flint Hills Fanfare was written to evoke the energy and image of a spring day in the Flint Hills of Kansas. It was written for full symphonic orchestra as a project during my undergraduate studies at Emporia State University. Emporia is located on the doorstep to the Flint Hills of Kansas (surprising for a state that most people consider flat!) The Flint Hills located in east-central Kansas, are one of the few places where some of the original tall grass prairies still exist. The hills are too rocky for trees to grow, allowing you to see for miles around you. The sky is so big that you almost feel a part of it. The wind, so strong that it could knock you off of your feet. They are hills filled with natural beauty that have astounded and amazed for generations. This piece was inspired by those prairies and hills in order to help better preserve one of the most beautiful places left in Kansas. I hope you enjoy Flint Hills Fanfare.
